prophet Isaiah: ‘Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the way to the sea, along the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles—the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned’ ” (Matt. 4:13–16). Clearly Jesus knew the Scriptures and studied them for the light they threw upon the course of his ministry. It was in response to this verse and many hundreds of verses like it that he made his decisions. What does this have to do with us?
